The Green is just a stone's throw away from the centre of Whitby town which offers winding streets and hidden alleys, where you can find a wide selection of eateries and shops amongst them, or head straight to see the gorgeous beach, where you can watch the sunset at the picturesque harbour and lighthouse, get involved with whale watching or take a coastal cruise to see the creatures up close.
Whitby is also home to the Captain Cook Memorial Museum presenting a historical exhibition about Cook himself, or for a more active day out, climb the famous 199 steps to the Whitby Abbey, and within a short drive you can visit the North York Moors National Park.
You are close to Robin Hood's Bay which is full of heritage wonders and scenic spots, and in reach of the bustling towns of Scarborough and Middlesbrough.
